Technical Pre-Sales Consultant
totemo is seeking a Technical Pre-Sales Consultant to join our growing. As a Technical Pre-Sales Consultant, you will act as a subject matter expert to ensure that totemo’s products are correctly positioned with both existing and new customers to solve unique business and security challenges relative to totemo’s competitors.
You will also be responsible for sharing customer requirements with totemo’s Marketing and Engineering teams to help improve our products and address changes in the security market.
In conjunction with our Sales Team, you will be responsible for conducting in-person and remote product demonstrations, articulating the technical value of totemo products relative to our competitors, and ensuring successful Proof of Concepts to beat the competition and safeguard our customers against threats. We are looking for a strong cybersecurity Pre-Sales Consultant who enjoys working in a high-paced environment.
Job duties and responsibilities
In this role you will be in charge of the following job duties and responsibilities: § Develop relationships with Sales team, Channel Resellers, Partners and Customers in support of totemo
competitive sales objectives.
§ Serve as a technical sales overlay for sales teams. § Provide technical expertise and real-life experience in creating solutions and designing proof-of-concept
§ Competitive and feature comparison discussion with Prospects, Customers, Channel Resellers and Partners.
§ Conduct research and use knowledge of competitive solutions to effectively address and dispel customer objections.
§ Provide technical pre-sales and post-sales support for direct and channel sales teams. § Manage RFP bids, coordinating input from multiple groups and building our tender responses. § Cross functional alignment with Marketing, Product Management and Sales departments to drive
totemo's sales objectives.
§ Assist Sales and Competitive Marketing teams to develop and implement specific content and account penetration strategies.
§ Track, document and share feature and product enhancements with Marketing and Product Management. § Develop content to train Internal Sales organization and Distribution Channels; and present to prospects
§ Drive high levels of customer satisfaction.
Job requirements and qualifications
Ideally you have the following qualifications and meet the following requirements: § Technical background in messaging and internet security principles. § A thorough understanding of Internet protocols and how they work (HTTP, SMTP, FTP, SCP etc.). § Knowledge of networking topology, TCP/IP protocol, network configuration and components (firewalls,
